RCL Insurance Claims Process
Step 1 - Call or email
Simply contact us by phone or email and notify the circumstances of your loss (time, date and injury or damage suffered). It’s important for you to advise if there is any need for emergency treatment or repairs.
Step 2 - Claim form and Assessors
We will advise if a claim form is required. Once the claim is notified/lodged with the insurer, we will provide you with a claim number within 24 hours.
Step 3 Ongoing Claims Management
We will continue to manage your claim until it is finalised, keeping you updated every step of the way. This will ensure the best possible outcome, based on your cover.
Tips to assist you if you have a claim or potential loss
Where safe to do so, endeavour to minimise further loss/damage, injury or death, depending on your circumstances.
At the earliest possible time, and while it is fresh in your mind, note down in detail your version of the events that have lead you to make a claim. A picture says a thousand words, so take plenty of photographs on your mobile phone where you can.
For certain claims, a Proof of Loss document may be required. To ensure your claim is settled quickly and you are compensated for every entitlement under the policy, it’s vitally important you provide us with substantiating evidence relating to the claim. This includes such things as documented sequence of events, person’s involved, names and contact details of any witnesses, estimates, inventories and other supporting documents that substantiate your claim’s value.
